Research & Professional Interests

My expertise spans bioinformatics and computational biology, specializing in microbial genome analysis, RNAseq algorithm development, and machine learning applications for biological data. I have worked on agriculture technology R&D solutions in the areas of: aquaculture engineering, soil microbiome research, and precision farming. My technical infrastructure work includes building bioinformatics pipelines with Nextflow, cloud computing on AWS/OpenStack. I have done scientific software development using Python, R, Julia, Groovy, and other languages. I'm passionate about knowledge sharing through conferences, workshops, and mentoring, while welcoming collaborations in research partnerships, open-source development, and biotechnology contracting or consulting.
